Windsor for the Derby 来自美国佛罗里达州的坦帕，乐队由吉他手Dan Matz和Jason McNeeley，鼓手Greg Anderson组成，随后乐队来到德州发展，并签约当地的Trance Syndicate厂牌。
乐队首张LP《Calm Hades Float》1996年由Adam Witzie制作，随着专辑制作完成，Adam Witzie也成为了乐队长期成员。
1997年上半年发行了EP《Metropolitan Then Poland》，并于当年发行首张完整专辑《Minnie Greunzfeldt》，1999年出版专辑《Difference and Repetition》，三年后，乐队在Emperor Jones旗下出版了一张B-Side专辑《Earnest Powers》。
到现在为止，乐队成员逐渐减少，只剩下Matz和McNeeley。
